About Lauren
Hi, I’m Lauren! Language learning is my passion and I love the opportunity to pass on my knowledge and enthusiasm of French and Spanish to others.
I'm an Exeter University graduate in French and Spanish and have lived in both countries. I have over 4 years of tutoring and teaching experience, including online tutoring, and I teach from beginner/KS3 to A Level. I am most experienced in teaching the EdExcel and AQA curriculums, but I would also be happy to tutor other exam boards as I will take time to look over the specification in advance.
I am happy to offer an initial trial lesson, during which we will be able to discuss your goals of the tutoring and whether there are any particular aspects of the language that you would like to focus on, such as grammar, writing or speaking. I create individualised lesson plans and adapt my teaching style to suit the needs of each student. As a tutor I am friendly, patient and supportive in my approach.
I aim to speak in the target language as much as possible, as this enables students to continuously improve their listening skills and familiarise themselves with everyday vocabulary. I always try to keep sessions varied and fun by doing quizes, debates, looking at film clips, song lyrics, reading newspaper articles and more.
If my available times for tuition below do not suit you, please get in touch and I can try to accommodate any requests. I cover the Leigh/ Hildenborough/ Tonbridge/ Sevenoaks/ Tunbridge Wells area, as well as offering online classes.
