About Kunal

An award-winning journalist and a development practitioner

A journalist, an avid traveler, a culture-sponge and a student: I have many different identities that I straddle. In my life's experiences, learning holds immense significance. I have been an eager learner in every phase of my life. My life's success and its achievements are a result of this learning. Learning, however, also requires teachers who are benevolent, gracious, compassionate and patient. I have been lucky to have such teachers in my life so far.

In my teaching, I wish to be the same. I wish to impart not just knowledge that one can glean off textbooks. Instead, I want to immerse that knowledge into the pool of my life's experiences and present a holisitic learning experience. The subjects that I will teach are not subjects whose knowledge to me is only academic or theoretical. They are subjects I have engaged with beyond the realm of textbooks, they are subjects that I have lived through my life. Hence, you can be rest assured that my learning will seek to impart in your child an appreciation of the academic with the insight of the practical.

This approach has helped me immensely in my academic life as well, earning me high grades in my theoretical essays and examinations at the university.
