Confident, specialised and highly experienced teacher/tutor
I am a confident, dedicated and fully qualified primary teacher with 12 years experience. In addition, I am a highly specialised special needs teacher, with a passion for literacy development and communication skills.
I have taught throughout all primary school stages and I am available for tutoring KS1 and KS2 special needs or mainstream individuals and small groups on weekday evenings and school holidays (weekly, or blocks of intensive sessions).
I have worked with children with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Dyspraxia and ADHD and have designed holistic, bespoke, individualised curriculums that are accessible for non-verbal children and children with complex needs including the use of high tech eye gaze and low tech communication systems.
I carefully assess students to understand gaps in learning then plan and deliver my sessions so that skills are broken down into sequential, easily managed steps and are tailored to the needs of each child. Each session promises to develop skills and confidence in the core subjects: reading, writing and maths and children leave feeling very proud of their new understanding and written work.
I employ a range of teaching strategies including multi sensory learning and practical based sessions in order to nurture confidence and maximise active and independent learning.
I form positive relationships with children and parents, engage children in their learning and together we achieve excellent results. I review progress with children and parents and give advice on areas that need development in order to improve levels.
I have original copies of 1) qualified teacher status and 2) DBS (formally known as CRB) documentation.
Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
