About Katie
Hi, my name is Katie. I am a History teacher at Lymm High School, WA13 0RB. I've not got a copy of my current DBS certificate to upload but feel free to ring the school and ask them to verify my identity. I currently teach History at KS3, KS4 and A Level. I also teach Y7 Geography. I teach Edexcel History at both GCSE and A Level.

At KS3 I currently teach and have good knowledge of a wide range of topics and for my undergraduate degree, I specialised in Crime and Law in 18th-century London. My dissertation was on the crimes of teenage boys in 18th century London.
I attended Wellington High School in Timperley for both my GCSEs and A Levels before studying for my degree in History at the University of Sheffield.
My first teaching experience was at a school in North East Sheffield as part of the Teach First Leadership Development Programme. The school was Hinde House 3-16 School and I taught both KS3 and KS4 History for two years.
In my spare time, I enjoy zumba, horse riding and spin classes. I also absolutely love food. I have two younger sisters, one of whom is 17 and so fully understand the demands placed upon young people and the pressure that they face in order to do well at school.
I am looking to tutor to both deepen by subject knowledge and to save money for a house deposit. Please do get in touch and I am happy to answer any questions you may have. I can also ask my school to provide a reference if required.
