About Katie
I am an Outstanding, experienced Primary School teacher, specialising in Maths and English. I hold a PGCE in Primary Education (age range 4-11). I am a native English speaker and fully DBS checked.
I have been working in education since 2013. I currently write education resources for a charity and teach part-time. I have previously taught all primary year groups, with most of my experience in Year 5 and 6. I have worked and continue to work with SEN children.
My approach to tutoring is informed by my teaching experience. I can rapidly understand what is preventing pupils from making the leap to the next level and enable them to do so, giving them confidence in their own abilities in the process.
I have a passion for outdoor learning. If the opportunity should arise, I will incorporate the outdoors into what I am teaching - or simply use it as a way to stimulate learning.
