Trying to get my 9 year old to do homework is usually like trying to get blood out of a stone. He just finished his first session with Karl grinning and saying 'I really enjoyed that! When can I do it again?'. Can't recommend him enough...

Karl tutored our ten year-old daughter Milly for her 11-plus. He was a brilliant tutor - patient, encouraging and with a rare ability to explain quite complicated ideas to someone who had previously found them hard to grasp. My wife and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Karl taught my son maths and comprehension.
I would highly recommend Karl as a tutor, he was punctual, organised, reliable, flexible, kind and truly cared about the outcome for my son.
My son would have two hour sessions after school and although he could be tired sometimes he always looked forward to the lesson. Him and Karl would chat and laugh while doing a lot of work. My sons maths and confidence both improved immensely. Karl found ways to motivate my son to check his answers, was able to identify my sons weaker areas in maths and comprehension and work in them in a way which my son found fun and interesting.
The end result is my son passed his exam for Latymer upper school and was so happy and proud of himself. He also has a new found passion in maths!
Karl was genuinely pleased for my son and called to find out how the exam had gone.Karl helped my son to feel more confident as his Year 6 SATs approached. He had a calm manner and my son looked forward to working with him each week. My son said he liked the way Karl helped him without just giving him the answers. We are taking a break for summer but will definitely be using Karl again.
Karl is just simply amazing! He is a maths genius. Incredibly modest, personable and has a great teaching technique.
I just had my first online lesson with Karl today. Within minutes he identified where I was struggling and then explained what I needed to know to answer the questions. His explanations were really clear and he somehow made the topic really easy to understand! The interactive whiteboard is particularly useful because I can save the slides and review them anytime after the lesson. I'm really looking forward to our next lesson!
Karl had been tutoring my son in maths and I can say that he is a fantastic teacher. My son lacked some self-confidence with his maths and Karl has not only given him the confidence to continue maths to A-Level but also helped improve my sons grades overall. My son found Karl's explanations very easy to understand and the techniques he employs to help recall key concepts very useful. I cannot fault Karl in anyway and I am happy to highly recommend him.
I feel I can wholeheartedly recommend Karl for his depth of knowledge in his subject area, his teaching techniques, and his demeanor as a person. I do so without reservation. Karl helped my children to not just memorise formulas but strived toward their complete understanding of math concepts. He is also one of the nicest people you can hope to meet!
I worked with Karl in TeachFirst and have seen him teach a lot of times. He's extremely passionate about his students, makes things very easy to understand and controls the curriculum to perfection. He has extremely good reviews and I will definitely recommend him to anyone willing to improve their maths skills!
