About Karl
I am an experienced tutor in several subjects, including English, Philosophy and Latin. I have a proven track record in improving student grades and helping them gain entrance to top-quality schools. I am currently undertaking a Ph.D at King's College London and have been a Graduate teaching Assistant at there for the past two years. I have authored a number of school guides for GCSE and A-Level English, including three books on Shakespeare. I believe in shaping each tutorial hour to meet each student's unique needs and in building their self-confidence. I am convinced every student can improve with the right amount of guidance and encouragement. If you'd like to discuss the possibility of tuition but don't see the day and hour you're looking for, please don't hesitate to get in touch, as my timetable is flexible.

Perfect! First Class Tutor - Highly Recommended
Karl tutored my daughter in Philosophy Pre-U and English A Level over the Easter holidays. He is extremely well-read and covered a wide range of topics with insight, clarity and a sprinkle of humour! Karl tutored from year 6-8 Latin. Taking our child through 13 plus successfully. Karl has a quiet, calm and understanding way of tutoring. He was always punctual, reliable and flexible. He knew where to target his sessions due to need of child and always communicated this with me. Our child never complained about sessions which speaks for itself! Karl taught my daughter IGCSE English Lit and Latin for two years.
