About Karim
Mathematics specialist tutor, Bsc Hons degree from a Russell Group University (currently teaching 11-18 in an academy). I have over 20 years of tutoring experience with students across the age and ability spectrum. Currently teaching Online Lessons and can provide parental testimonials via e-mail.
I am a supportive and experienced mathematics tutor with excellent communication skills, familiar with the areas of mathematics generally found to be most complex and challenging, and able to communicate them in an understandable manner. Keen to help prepare for all levels from GSCE New Syllabus 9-1, A-Level (New Syllabus as well old), Further Maths (new syllabus as well as legacy), STEP/MAT and 11+ entrance exams. ( DBS/CRB certificate as new as 2017 March)

All of my 7 tutees attained grades 7-9 (Majority 8 & 9) All attained 1 grade higher than school target grades.

Whether its finding a creative method to boost the confidence of a Key Stage 2 child or preparing for A Level maths (or further), I can be of help. I create an environment where the student is relaxed and confident and see my tuition as part of an overall support structure with a parent and school. As such I have constant dialogue with parents to ensure we are on track. I also set work to be completed outside of sessions to reinforce what we have covered.
As well as covering all theory, we would work on many examples and exam technique. I ensure competency and confidence before moving from one topic to the next.

Karim took me on to repeat Maths A-Level 15 years since I last studied it. Starting in November and doing an hour and a half a week Karim rekindled my enjoyment of Maths and pushed me to comprehensively understand the material well ahead of time.
Karim is an excellent tutor and teacher. My son, with Karim's help, improved his maths from a Grade 5 to a Grade 7. Karim provides homework each week which he goes over in the lesson. He also gives tips on how to improve and pass exams. He is enthusiastic and gave my son confidence in his ability which my son lacked. Karim is a very likeable person and my son enjoyed his lessons.
