About Karen
I have a calm and reassuring approach putting students at their ease so that they can immerse themselves in the language and begin to enjoy hearing themselves progress.
I have ten years' teaching experience which includes French, German and EFL and at all levels from age 9 up to adult.
I taught English in France during my degree and then for a year in Japan after I graduated. I also taught EFL to young and older adults in summer schools in London.
I have taught French and German from beginner to A' level in several different schools in the UK and have achieved excellent results at GCSE. I also tutored on a one to one basis.
I have taken time out to raise a family and renovate a house but would now like to combine my two passions of languages and teaching and return to tutoring.

I have known Karen Clark since July 1991, when we were both employed as teachers on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme in Matsumoto, Japan.
