About Julia
I have tutored students in years 8-11 in Mathematics. At University I taught French and German to years 7-10 in a teaching module. I was an Enterprise Executive for the Prince's Trust and ran 4-day courses teaching groups of twenty 18-30 year olds all aspects of starting a business. I achieved an education and training award in this role. Currently I also read with year 6s once a week in a local Primary School.
Tutoring is great fun as I find there is a lot more scope for creativity in the ways we can explore topics together, using drawing, colours and diagrams as well as different ways of looking at problems. It is my belief that everyone can understand and enjoy Mathematics and often the biggest block to success is confidence. I love to help tutees understand by using creative explanations and fun techniques. I hope that I can help you or your child too.
