Hi, I am a Physics student at the University of Bristol with a passion for helping others to learn and a friendly, open personality
TEACHING TIMES: Can be available most evenings, at the weekend and Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Please message me to enquire about availability - I'll reply as soon as I can!
Teaching runs in the family - my father is a sixth form and secondary mathematics teacher. I personally have considerable experience as a tutor, with several satisfied clients.
My students find my ability to explain difficult concepts in a clear manner to be particularly useful. Understanding is key, and I place an emphasis on this in my teaching.
I believe the key factor that makes me a good tutor is the ability to empathise with those I am teaching - understanding what it is that they find difficult, and helping by re-framing the topic in a simpler manner.
Many people find the formulaic method of teaching mathematical sciences in schools difficult to comprehend - my approach is different: Always beginning with the meaning of what is being taught, and how this relates to solving problems, not simply the equations that can be hard to remember without proper understanding.
I am keen to make some extra money to support my studies while working to help the education of your child - I am happy to make home visits in Bristol, Filton and surrounding areas.
Why wait? Get in touch today, it may be the best thing you could do for your child's education!
