I graduated with a triple-starred first in Music from Cambridge University, twice gaining the highest mark in my year, with interests and specialisms ranging across music theory, history and philosophy. I am principally a conductor and cellist with extensive performing experience, currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music.
Whether teaching written theory or preparing for listening components, I am passionate about explaining the complex inner workings of music in simple terms, while locating music in its cultural and historical contexts. I am happy to tutor all aspects of academic music from GCSE to undergraduate level and beyond, all grades of music theory, cello and conducting, as well as English literature. I have experience tutoring ABRSM music theory from grades 5 to 8 as well as academic music from GCSE to A level.
