Hi there, I'm an experienced and passionate tutor, specialising in English Literature. Over the last year, I have worked with a wide range of different students, helping them prepare for 13+ and 11+ Entrance Exams to a variety of schools including Eton, King's College School, and Sevenoaks, working with children on English Creative Writing and Comprehension, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, and Maths.
I have experience of tutoring English to both GCSE and A-Level standard, as well as preparing students for Oxbridge entrance. I also offer Acting tuition and coaching, and have wide ranging experience working with young and adult actors, mainly helping students in their applications for drama schools. I also have experience in the classroom, helping pupils both in small groups and one-one-one with Maths and English, as well as beginning my tutoring work while I was doing my A-Levels by helping KS2 pupils at Redlands Primary School with a variety of subjects including French.
I love taking the time to find the individual approach that works best for each student. A 'one-size-fits-all' approach is never the most effective, and I always tailor my approach to support a student's particular needs and work at his or her pace.
I graduated from the University of Oxford in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature (2:1). Since then, I studied Acting for three years at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2014 with an MA (Distinction). I attended Reading School and attained three A's at A-level in English, French and Drama.
I'm now an actor and writer, and I run my own theatre company, which won an award for our debut production at this year's VAULT Festival, London's biggest arts festival.
I'm very keen to take on new tutoring work, and particularly to help anyone who would like support studying English Literature. Having loved literature all my life, I love sharing this passion with students, and inspiring them to enjoy and achieve the very best out of their studies.
