About Joe
I am a qualified teacher and have taught children and adults with special needs for 28 years.
I have a degree in Psychology and also studied Economics and English Literature at Newcastle University. I have a Diploma in Teaching Literacy.
I can also teach mainstream Maths and English and have A levels in both.
I run a theatre company for adults with special needs and can teach acting. I have the Shakespeare Teacher's Certificate which I studied for with the RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon.
I play guitar and piano and can teach basic instrument skills. I co-run a small record label and have worked in the music industry for 22 years.
I can teach creative writing.
I am a student of tai chi and chi kung. I have taught tai chi to adults with special needs.
I take time to find what students can do and to find about their interests. I believe learning has to be fun.
