About Jennifer
Hi, my name is Jenny and I am a 25 year old teacher and healer currently living in South London. I have worked as a tutor for six years, teaching both the IB curriculum to older students (English and History), creative writing at all levels and more recently the 7 and 8+ syllabus. I am also able to teach for the 11+ examination. I studied Anthropology, Music and History for my BA degree at SOAS university, London and Cambridge University.
I love helping children who may be struggling in the current school system to engage and focus on their attributes. I have worked and still work with SEN children and at a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) so really understand the many difficulties which children can face from a very young age. I truly believe every child can flourish if the way they learn is properly understood.
I am a qualified reiki healer and qualified children's yoga instructor. I am currently offering both healing modalities. I often end up teaching yoga to the children I tutor, which is hugely fun and rewarding for me!
I am fully DBS qualified and hold a paediatric first aid certificate and safeguarding training. I am happy to travel to teach, hold lessons at my home in Crystal Palace or teach online where appropriate.
