Senior Medical Student studying a MSc in Medical Education
Hi, My name is Jason and I am a senior medical student studying in Brighton for a post graduate degree in medical education.
I have extensive teaching and tutoring experience with young people aged 12-21. Please see below:
- I am currently a voluntary peer tutor for third year medical students in Brighton Sussex Medical School
- I have been awarded the Princess Diana Award for my commitment to GCSE student tutoring during my A levels
- I am a voluntary Training officer in the Air Cadet Organisation, delivering the full air cadet syllabus to cadets
- I have designed numerous outreach programmes as part of a special study module in the medical school. This involved delivering programmes such as mental health work shops and first aid training to schools.
My current postgraduate Master's degree is focusing on various teaching techniques and theories to facilitate learning. I am also researching educational theory, specifically threshold concepts, within medical education this year.
My special interests are:
GCSE science subjects- Biology, Chemistry and Physics
A level Biology
Pre-clinical medical school
I can work all levels of ability and set appropriate targets. Whether you're aiming for A*s all round or just need a C I am more than willing to help.
Jason is a very friendly and approachable tutor who sets realistic targets. I'm tutoring pre-clinical medicine his explanations are excellent with the ability to tailor them to your understanding. He is very patient and an excellent tutor
