I passed my exam despite missing 6 months of the curriculum due to a change of schools

I was a fellow teacher with James Glasse at Sussex House School. I found him to be of a man of exemplary character with a high moral standard. He was a dedicated teacher and a well-liked member of the school with both boys and staff. All those he taught in both Common Entrance and Scholarship obtained the necessary grades. Apart from his classes he ran a couple of popular activities: Mandarin and Appreciation of Music. I don't have any hesitation in recommending him as a tutor.

James was a part time member of staff and taught English to 11+ at Conifers from 2013 - 2014. He was competent in his subject knowledge. He also taught Mandarin and enthused the children greatly. He was polite and reliable at all times and made a good contribution to school life.
James left Conifers in 2014 to take a full time position at Prebendal School.

Mr Glasse was always eager to help and very careful to make sure we were all engaged in his lessons. I always enjoyed Latin classes due to the different approaches Mr Glasse took on teaching us. I really believe he is easy to confide in if you're finding something difficult to grasp and is enthusiastic at finding alternative ways to suit your learning.
I recieved top marks in my exams and his teaching has given me a very solid foundation in order to learn other languages.

Mr Glasse taught my child Latin at prep school and provided a stimulating and learned environment for the course work. He was always able to individualise learning for areas that some found challenging.
Taught me latin in year 8. Extremely helpful by using tricks to help remember different grammar forms. I found I learnt a huge deal in my year with him for Latin, giving me a good platform to continue it on to GCSE and maybe further still.
