After finishing a Masters in Renaissance Literature at Oxford I pursued two careers; one as a private tutor and one as a 'freelance Shakespearean'. Tutoring has been a marvellous opportunity to pass on enthusiasm for learning. It has been a consistently refreshing and constructively challenging experience. It also crosses over neatly with my media activities; podcasting at "Sheldrake on Shakespeare", my collaborations with Shakespeare's Globe, RADA, the BBC and elsewhere. I have clocked up over 450 hours of tutoring with a range of pupils and subjects. In September 2015 I started teaching full-time at a private school in Shepperton, Surrey and am now at a major public school in Oxfordshire.
