Music has played a key role in my life for years and I am more than happy to share my passion for the art with you!
I have a background in various genres of music including classical, pop and musical theatre, and I strongly believe that music has no boundaries and that there are no limits as to what we can perform. I enjoy teaching students songs of all kinds in the hope that they will enjoy what they are playing/singing!
I have prepared students for ABRSM exams, with most of them passing with flying colours! Since the pandemic, ABRSM introduced the choose to submit an exam via video, which has proven to be both a popular and successful option with my students!
I also believe that studying music theory is important as it allows us to understand the musical language better, something which can allow us to be even better musicians and performers! I usually spend around half the lesson doing music theory as a result of this, going through the books and helping to prepare students to sit their Grade 5 theory exams.
Having achieved a 9 in GCSE Music, an A* in A-Level Music and now a Bachelor of Music degree, I have a thorough understanding of the academic music system and how music is taught in schools and universities. I have prepared several students for both GCSE and A-Level Music, many of whom have gone to achieve high grades in these subjects.
I want to do everything I can to make sure that not only do you work hard but also enjoy music! Every student is unique and each of my lessons will be tailored to your individual needs.

We first met Jaison when he lead St Anselm’s School Choir to jointly-win the St Dominics Choir Grand Slam in 2019 (he was covering the school choir leader who was ill that day). Jaison had a wonderful rapport with the children and we immediately asked if he would give our children piano lessons. Over the years Jaison has taught them with patience and enthusiasm. We admire him for his energy, creativity and dedication. In addition to his day job as Choral Director with the Dioscese of Westminster and tutoring piano and singing, Jaison is a bona fide song writer and performer which is highly motivating for my children. No matter how busy he is he takes time to listen to and advise on music pieces for my children’s school performances. Jaison really does go above and beyond and we highly recommend him as a piano tutor.
Jaison is a highly skilled musician with a gift for teaching, particularly children. He took my son from zero ability to Grade 2 piano during covid lockdowns using only remote teaching. He communicates clearly, builds a great rapport with his pupils and is an inspiration to them.
Having know Jaison for 8 years and worked with him professionally as a singer and musician I can say confidently that he is an accomplished musician as well as a superb voice coach and performer.
He has demonstrated competence with adults and children and is a pleasure to work with.Jaison has been teaching my 6 year old for the last couple of weeks and it has been pleasure working with him. Jaison has an exceptional ability to connect with my little one. His patience and engaging methods are quite good. Jaison understand that kids like to have fun and he does make the session interesting and fun.
Overall I am happy with Jaison so far. I would definitely recommend him for piano lessons.Jaison has taught my two children piano for nearly two years. They really enjoy their lessons with him - initially face to face and more recently through Skype/Facetime. He is very enthusiastic, patient, professional and approachable. He ensures his students are well prepared for exams (practical and theory) and strives to pass on his love of music. I would strongly recommend Jaison as a piano teacher.
I know Jaison well, having tutored him for A level French in the academic year 2019-2020.
Jaison has an excellent work ethic and is a genuine pleasure to work with. He is very bright, and he is always engaged with his work which has enabled him to make enormous progress in the time in which I have taught him. His organisational skills are outstanding - as he communicates efficiently and promptly and manages his time expertly. These attributes assure me that he will be extremely diligent and professional in any work which he undertakes.
In addition, Jaison is a kind and friendly individual who is easy to form an excellent rapport with due to his personal warmth and empathy. Working with him is always a pleasure and this will be an indispensable asset in any working relationship which you will form with him.My 8-year-old son has been doing singing lessons with Jaison for 6 months now and he has really enjoyed the lessons he has had so far. Jaison has had a very personal approach, allowing him to sing songs that he actually enjoys as well as songs that are on the exam syllabus. It's really pleasing to hear my son sing songs in the car as well and Jaison has really motivated him to practise, something that many teachers lack. I would thoroughly recommend Jaison!
Jaison has been providing piano lessons for my daughter and has proven to be a fantastic, energetic and dedicated teacher. He is extremely patient which goes well with younger children, but also knowledgeable and was able to push them forward whenever they needed a little bit more motivation.
For the time we’ve known him he’s always been very easy-going, friendly and gave a personal touch to each learning experience. My daughter was really pleased with her Grade 1 result and is looking forward to doing her Grade 2 next term. We are also looking forward to start singing lessons with him too.View more recommendations
