About Jack
Any teacher or student will tell you that the transition from GCSE to A level is much harder than the jump to university and I am looking to help students of all abilities at this point in education either get up to the high standards of A level, gain more confidence in their abilities or get a head start into this new stage of their education.
I have over 100 hours of experience tutoring Math and Physics to many students. I have A or higher A-Levels in Maths, Physics and Further Maths. I have also studied Physics at university for 3 years and have work experience in the field.
I can tutor across a wide range of topics and exam boards. I will construct lessons and activities based on the textbook that the student is studying to make sure that everything covered is relevant and will be familiar when revisited in class.
Please contact me if you feel that you or your child would benefit from my help in Maths and/or Physics.

I teach Maths and Physics from Primary to A-Levels in 1-hour sessions but will do longer lessons upon request if that is the best structure for the student.
My lessons are aimed to complement the classes a student receives in school. I will for the most part assist in understanding the content that the school is teaching. I will also prepare ahead of the syllabus if the student is ready.
I feel this is the best method to assist in a student's learning as I do not want to contradict the teacher as that will help no one. For those who are ready to move on, I will help prepare them for upcoming content in a way that will make it feel less daunting than it may be in class.

Perfect! Positive attitude, always on time, great listening and communication skills. My son is very happy with Jack's lessons and it is helping him to conquer his homework and improves his math understanding. Excellent :)

Jack was an intelligent, committed student in the Sixth Form at Waddesdon CE School. He demonstrated excellent academic ability across his A level subjects and was highly organised and positive in his approach to learning. In Year 13, his Maths teachers commented that Jack was "a talented Mathematician, who enjoys and thrives on every challenge set before him. He is well motivated, confident and has a very good grasp of the Mathematical topics covered". His Physics teachers reported that Jack was a "well-motivated student who takes time to fully understand the links between Physics concepts and their applications. His committed attitude is shown in his independent learning and in class".
As well as being a strong student, Jack also made considerable contributions to our school community as a Prefect, demonstrating leadership qualities, maturity and good interpersonal skills. He achieved a school Employability Award to recognise his many skills, which will help him to succeed in the workplace.
Overall, I believe Jack has the ability, personal qualities and skills to make an excellent tutor, so I strongly recommend him to you.Jack is a well-motivated student who fully understands the links between Physics concepts and their applications. His committed attitude is shown in his independent learning and work outside of class. He is always keen to extend his knowledge beyond the required syllabus and works methodically in practicals, both independently and as part of a team. Studying both Maths and Further Maths at A-level has allowed Jack a deeper insight into the more complicated aspects of the course. His enthusiasm and admirable work ethic makes him an excellent student.
