I'm an Oxford University graduate with a master's degree in twentieth century literature. I tutor English Literature at all levels up to undergraduate, alongside Creative Writing, and I'm also available to offer advise on UCAS admissions and the composition of personal statements. In terms of experience, I have five years of tutoring under my belt, and have worked with students studying under all the major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, iGCSE, etc.).
Tutoring made an enormous difference for me as a student – particularly when it came to the stuff that can only really be taught one-on-one, like perfecting the right essay structure, or discussing the complex motivations of a character. I hope that I can help inspire students with the same enthusiasm for the subject that my tutor once did for me.
After graduating from my master's degree, I worked for two years as an assistant to a film producer. When shooting wrapped on his latest movie earlier this year, I moved on to focus on my own writing and other projects. At the moment, when I'm not tutoring, I also work as an Editor and Business Manager for a literary press in Oxford. I'd be very happy to offer advise on finding employment in the film and publishing industries.
