About Isabella
With four years' experience tutoring English and History, I have worked with various ages and backgrounds and have a modern approach to teaching. My energy and adaptability allows me to work through language barriers and encourage active learning. I employ a variety of techniques for all levels - for instance, I use social media and radio podcasts to help my students achieve fluency in English, and use interesting historical sources, such as old films, to facilitate learning in History.
In the IB Diploma programme I attained the highest marks possible in both English and History (7, equivalent to A*) and continue the study of history in my undergraduate degree. I received a first overall after my first year of study at the LSE and approach learning with passion.
I am happy to travel to tutor, but can also offer a quiet and comfortable learning environment in my student halls common room in Southbank.

Isabella is very committed to teaching English and History. As part of the National Honours Society together in High School I saw how much time and energy she put into teaching a younger student with little to no background in English. She uses lots of different teaching methods, such as radio podcasts, to give her students a very immersive experience. Would highly recommend!
Isabella is a close friend and I have seen how dedicated she is to tutoring. She is passionate about teaching and puts in time and energy to make sure she caters to all levels. For example, last year despite a heavy university workload she tutored an older Masters student in English every week to build his confidence before writing his dissertation.
