Music teacher - harp, piano and music interpretation
Do you want to learn music? To start learning a new instrument like the harp or piano? Or maybe you already play an instrument and you just need someone to help you with how to play a piece of music and to find the interpretation that will tell a story to your audience?
I graduated my Masters in Music at Boston University - College of Fine Arts in Boston, US with a total GPA of 4.0 out of 4.0 and my Bachelors in Music at The Boston Conservatory, Boston, US with a total GPA of 3.95 out of 4.0, the highest in my school generation. I went to competitions, played in recitals, as a soloist with orchestras, on TV and radio. I played solo, in chamber music settings and in orchestras, I taught for few months as a substitute to secondary level pupils. I can say that I did everything that many aspiring young musician do. However, after almost an entire life dedicated to music, I decided to quit all these, to come to London and do something different. Planned and done.
For two years, since coming to London, it happened that I have been interacting with music in very significant moments of my life. This made me realise how much music and being a harp performer shaped me and my values in terms of life, work ethic and human relationships. More so, I see in myself so much knowledge that can be valuable to an aspiring young musician - knowledge in how to play a piece of music, what to look for when searching for its meaning; knowledge in stage performance and in how to deal with all the emotions that come to you before and/or during being on stage; knowledge in what playing the harp entails and in the begining stages of learning the piano.
Knowledge, knowledge, knowledge - learned from teachers and professional musicians, based on my personal experience as an aspiring young musician, based on ideas and concepts developed while interacting with other fellows from various backgrounds, and also based on my own discoveries while trying to find out how to improve my playing and my stage performances - all ready to be shared to all who feel that they can learn something from me.
