I am a friendly and approachable tutor who aims to make lessons engaging and challenging to ensure my students achieve mastery over many concepts.
After achieving the best GCSE results in my schools (11 A*s and 1A), I started private tutoring and now have over 2 years of experience. My lessons are individually tailored to my students and I ensure that they learn what the national curriculum/respective syllabus expects of them and also stretch them beyond so that they can aim for higher grades.
Achieving 100 UMS in 7 GCSE examinations (including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History and Geography) means I have developed methods for not only remembering facts but also exam techniques which have helped many of my students write exactly what the examiner is looking for.
My passion for teaching complements being a student myself. This was particularly useful when I was in upper sixth studying for A levels whilst also a Chemistry mentor to struggling GCSE students at Ilford County High School.
With over 400 hours of tutoring experience, I have gained valuable insight and knowledge of valuable resources to aid learning. My particular strengths lie in KS2 including SATs, 11+ CEM (including Verbal Reasoning, Non Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English), KS3, GCSE Biology and GCSE Chemistry.
I have also won the following academic awards:
1. Jack Petchey award for Outstanding Achievement
2. UK Senior Mathematics Challenge- Bronze award
3. Cambridge Chemistry Challenge- Copper award
I have participated in the following competitions:
1. Royal Society of Chemistry International Chemistry Olympiad
2. British Biology Olympiad
