  • Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

I speak this language fluently because I was born and raised in Egypt. All my educational journey was in Arabic.
  • Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

Quran is the emblematic representative of the language's culture. The Quran is the central religious text of Islam, viewed by Muslims as a revelation from God and widely regarded as the supreme masterpiece of Arabic literature, and has had a great influence on the Arabic language.
  • Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behavior in the language that you particularly like?

The behaviour I like in my culture is warm greetings. People greet each other with many friendly phrases before they talk about something else. Secondly, welcoming the guests. Arabs are known for their generosity. They like foreigners as well.
  • Why does speaking this language matter to you?

Arabic is a rapidly growing language on the international stage. With 274 million speakers, Arabic is not only her sixth most-spoken native language in the world, but it is also in increasing demand in the West. Arabic is undoubtedly a fascinating language and more and more people are choosing it as their second language. It Opens up a whole new world of travel opportunities in more than 20 countries.
  • What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

In my opinion, the main difficulty is the pronunciation at the beginning. Arabic is a language that has some sounds that English doesn't have. That's maybe hard for some at the start, but then over time, they become familiar with these sounds. there's just a one-letter difference between قَلْب (qalb, which means "heart") and كَلْب (kalb, which means "dog"). It would be horribly embarrassing if you wanted to call someone you loved "my heart" but mispronounced the ق!. Secondly, dialects sometimes make the student feel confused because there are many dialects, but the most popular is the Egyptian dialect.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

Once, I was teaching a lesson about countable and uncountable nouns. Then I asked the students. Is ice cream countable and uncountable?

One of my students said it's countable!

I said how? He said that we can count by licks!
  • How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Egypt is famous for its ancient civilization and some of the world's most famous monuments. I usually visit these sites. There are many famous cities which I enjoy visiting because I meet people from all over the world. It also helped me to practice and to improve my English. I enjoyed talking about different topics
  • What makes you a Superprof in language?

There are many reasons that make me a superprof in teaching.

Firstly, Arabic is my mother tongue and I am aware of its grammar and structure. Secondly, my degree in Education has benefited me to help students develop language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. In addition to my certificate in Teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.

Thirdly, I am a highly motivated and experienced tutor with a strong background in providing professional tutoring services to students with diverse backgrounds. I have taught more than 10000 hours on different websites. Finally, I tailor my lessons according to the student's needs.
