Reliable, Professional and Friendly tutor - UCL Graduate

{{PROMOTIONAL OFFER: Any lessons booked in January will be at a discounted hourly rate of £25}}

Introduction:

I am a recent UCL graduate with 6 years of tutoring experience, equating to 5000+ total hours of tuition. I have helped many students (of all ages) prosper in terms of education and personal development, and I appreciate the immeasurable impact tutoring has on the performance and development of their school lives. Tutoring was initially just a rewarding experience for me; however, it has now evolved into a passion. My main subjects are Maths (up to A Level, incl Further Maths) and Economics (up to degree level); however, I also offer tuition in English, Science and Business Studies.

Methodology:

I offer discounted introductory sessions to new students, where we have the opportunity to introduce ourselves and become familiar with one another. This allows my students to open up to me and share their strengths and weaknesses. Once I have observed their level and pace, I plan my lessons entirely based upon the individual’s personal progress. My methodology during the sessions consists of an interactive whiteboard, which I believe is very engaging for me and my students. Please note that I am happy to negotiate a lower price for longer time slots.

Academics:

I have recently graduated with an honours degree in BSc Economics from University College London. I achieved A*A*AB for my A levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics and Physics and have obtained 600 UCAS points. In addition, my GCSE results were all As and A*s.

Experience:

In addition to offering tuition to GCSE and A level students in Mathematics, Economics and Science for the last 6 years, I also worked as a tutor in Explore Learning and Kumon. I helped to create a friendly atmosphere for students to increase their enthusiasm towards education and thereby enhance their performance. This was an extremely valuable experience as I observed how my contributions lead to the development of their school lives. I also volunteered at the Oxford Central Library for the Summer Reading Challenge, where I encouraged reading by running interactive storytelling sessions. I met children with dyslexia and witnessing a rise in their confidence to read taught me valuable life lessons.

Conscientious Maths Tutor

Since my online tutoring sessions with Mrs Khan, I feel as though my mathematics abilities as well as confidence in the subject have vastly improved.
She has a conscientious approach towards teaching a subject that she is highly qualified in. I felt as though she took the time to get to know me personally as a student as well as assessing my strengths and weaknesses within the topic.
I found the informality of the skype sessions to be beneficial to my learning process, this more relaxed approach allowed me to feel more comfortable than a typical classroom setting might have done.
I highly recommend her tutoring lessons to anyone who - whatever level or skillset - may need a bit more encouragement in mathematics.

Distinguished learning experience

I have no hesitation to insist on the fact that, out of all tutors that I have experienced, Hijaab stands out as one of the few most skilful tutors I have ever had, both academically and humanely speaking.
I had been severely struggling with my maths modules during my first year as an Economics Bachelor student at UCL until Hijaab took me on as a tutee. She not only helped me pass, I also managed to score brilliantly in the end.
I have been very much impressed by her finesse, her intellectual capacity, her overall efficiency, and her incredible patience in transmitting her knowledge. Moreover, her teaching method puts the students at ease whilst remaining entirely professional.
Therefore I strongly recommend Hijaab as a tutor as she manages to bring out the inner confidence one needs to achieve good results and maintain them in the long-run.

I successfully achieved 80/100 in Maths and 68/100 in Further Maths

Very efficient

Hijaab is a great teacher, especially since she is very patient and understanding, and she works entirely for my own interest. What I like the most about her is her stubbornness when it comes to moving on, since she will not advance onto a new topic until she is entirely convinced that I have complete understanding of it. This gives me great confidence and so I am rating her 5/5

Knowledgeable of real-life application

I am a Maths degree student, who studied a economics module.
Mrs. Hijaab has the innate ability to interlink economic concepts of various topics into any question at hand.
She effectively uses layman's terms to clarify anything, as required. I highly recommend her because she is a recent graduate who is up-to-date with the current examination process.

Professional and reliable tutor

Hijaab has been tutoring me for almost 5 years now, in Maths, Science and English. I was an average C/D and ended up getting an A* in all 3 subjects, for GCSE's. I found Hijaab to be extremely helpful, she even helped me with questions outside of tutoring hours. She is very enthusiast in her approach and made learning seem enjoyable. I felt like she genuinely cared about my progress, as if it was her own. I highly recommend Hijaab as a tutor and am very grateful to her for helping me succeed.

Economics& Maths for Undergraduate level

Hijaab is by far the BEST tutor I’ve had!! She’s a great tutor with strong background in Maths and Economics! She’s ever so friendly and will explain everything in the easiest way. She’ll go out of her way to help her students- without her I wouldn’t have got through my semester 2 exams!! She's one of the very few tutors around who genuinely wants to help students achieve their potential and doesn't just work for the money! It was a true joy to be taught by her and will certainly recommend her to anyone who’s studying Economics/ Maths at an undergraduate level or below! In all honesty, she was more like a friend than a tutor who you can always rely on! She never seem to amuse me with her simplicity and down to earth character which makes it so easy for us students to approach her!

Did well in my Economics and Maths modules.
