Science Tutor with PhD in Chemistry

Hi, I'm Henry, a Kiwi with a PhD in chemistry from the Australian National University, currently living in London.

I have a passion for science, and love to share that with the students I teach. Diverse fields of science have always fascinated me, from an undergraduate thesis on the origin-of-life, to a PhD in pure synthetic organic chemistry, to a postdoc in biochemistry and photopharmacology, and most recently to molecular diagnostics research.

During and after my PhD I prepared and graded exams for undergraduates, and instructed MSc and PhD students day-to-day in the lab.

I have experience instructing students from High School level up to PhD candidates in the UK, New Zealand, Australia, and Germany. Thus, I have had practice communicating ideas to a variety of backgrounds and experience levels.

I look forward to your message!

Engaging and adaptive instructor

Henry is a brilliant, engaging and caring instructor. He helped me understand chemistry and taught me how to find and extract the most important information that I read. In addition to this, he is very good at using chemistry programs and software to help show the atoms in the context of the whole molecule. Whenever I had chemistry-related questions, he would always help me to solve them. I also highly recommended him for the students who use English as a second language since his English is very clear and easy to follow. Undoubtedly, he is the best teacher ever in my entire life.
I come out with a broader and deeper understanding of chemistry, and succeeded in my postgraduate courses.
