About Henry
I have lots experience teaching sciences and especially biology to students preparing for their GCSEs and a levels.
I have really enjoyed these experiences. It is brilliant to be able to help the students learn both the syllabuses as well as gain increased confidence about their subjects. Also I have been able to learn a lot as well, and am very confident in my own abilities as a tutor, and my understanding of GCSE and A-level syllabuses for all the sciences and maths.
I am an enthusiastic 24 year old. After studying preclinical medicine at Oxford University, where I obtained a first class degree, I have transferred to complete my medical training at Kings College London. I enjoy working with students, and am a great teacher. I enjoy explaining simple and complex processes and find it rewarding. I have developed these skills through presenting research to my peers, tutors and other academics during my time in Oxford, as well as in a school setting teaching GCSE students Mathematics and Spanish during my A-level studies.
I will put in a lot of work to ensure lessons are relevant, useful and memorable.

Henry has been an excellent asset to my studies. He is tremendously knowledgeable on: the subject, exam technique and how the common difficult questions are set up and consequently, he knows what you need to know to tackle them. When I inquired for his help, he was open to buying the textbook and tutoring me through skype sessions, which despite being very unconventional for Biology, went very well and it showcased his: fantastic ability to explain concepts and keenness to ensure one truly gets the idea and ensures that you don’t have trouble memorising anything. He has been flexible with time; kindly accommodating to delays and being open to starting early. My only criticism would be an occasional lack of availability, however I inquired in extenuating circumstances and had several periods of urgent need for help and Henry was excellent in making himself available despite his own schedule. I would recommend him without hesitation.
Henry was able to explain to me some really difficult areas which I just didn't really understand. He went at my pace and also helped me with my essay on the organelles of the cell.
He was a nice man who I could ask questions comfortably to.Henry worked for my company for six years over summer holidays, from the age of 16 to 21. He is clearly very capable, interested and dilligent and, although not working as a tutor for my company, from his character I imagine he would be an extremely effective teacher and is very approachable. His ability to relate to others is very professional and he clearly has an afinity with learning and so mentoring students will come naturally to him. He has a wide range of talents from the most academic to the absolutely practical (he cuts an excellent hedge) so is likely to get on with just about everyone.
Henry is a really friendly guy who can take a complex topic and explain it in a simple, logical way. His kind, caring nature, and patience, are some of the qualities that make him a great tutor, in addition to his stong knowledge base.
