Hi, I'm Helen and I'm a recent Cambridge University music graduate. With over five years of tutoring experience, I have helped countless A-Level and GCSE students achieve exam success, as well as working with younger pupils to achieve their individual goals.
I am highly passionate about Music, History and Maths; studying these subjects at A-Level and when reading music at University my main focus was on history-based modules. My passion for these subjects shines through in my teaching style as I endeavour to make learning exciting, stimulating and informative. As a musician, I believe my creative mentality allows me to explore alternative approaches to education and learning and this ingenuity helps my pupils learn in a manner which in many cases is far more suited to them than classroom teaching.
From my secondary school education onwards I have tutored a wide variety of my peers, working with those aiming for core GCSEs and those aiming for Russel Group Universities as well as SEN pupils.
With a wealth of experience I understand that each client is unique and their learning style different. I enjoy the challenge of discovering each client's bespoke needs and devising innovative methods to meet them.
I believe that specialised preparation is the key to exam success, no matter what level. I am highly familiar with the A-Level and GCSE Maths, History and Music courses across all boards, as well as having tutored for SATs and the eleven-plus. The key to excellent results is an extensive knowledge of exam technique, something in which I am highly versed.
My approach to tutoring is invigorating, friendly and unique and I am always confident that I can help my students achieve their goals.
