About Harshi
I am a final year medical student studying at UCL and over the past couple of years at medical school I have been part of programmes and initiatives to help students to apply to medical schools around the country. Interviews can be tough and the key for me is to get students to engage with the interview process. This means acquiring the right knowledge, tailoring your background to help answer questions and also building confidence through practice.
I have also been tutoring biology to students through online interactive classes. I like to make the session as interactive as possible; this involves asking questions and discussing the answers, as well as aiming to consolidate knowledge in an easy and organised manner. I also send copies of notes I have made in the lesson to the student so that they have their own personal copy. I use drawings and labelled diagrams alongside the notes to help students remember their work after the session.
I aim to be flexible, friendly and approachable with all students as I remember the stresses of studying GCSEs/A levels and applying to medical school when I was younger!
