About Hamzah
I am a graduate from Warwick University having completed my degree in Biomedical Science. Currently training to be a doctor, I am taking some time out to work as a full time tutor across England (I am always available as a tutor regardless of what I am doing).
I have over three years experience of tutoring a range of subjects from A level Biology to eleven plus entrance exams for various private and grammar schools. Having attended a private school myself, I remain in close contact with the school who provide me with resources regularly that are not easily accessible for anyone. This means extra resources for my students from real eleven plus exams. I have been successful in getting students into various grammar schools across Birmingham and Leicester.
I do not just prepare students for their exams. I aim to build them as individuals and get them ready for future studies; whether that is university or secondary school. I have had students open up to me about topics they are not comfortable speaking to their parents about. This is a real honour and something I do not take for granted.
I prefer tutoring students over a long period of time as I can see genuine progression my work makes and it is brilliant to see them develop as individuals. However, I also do intense short courses (e.g. for people who have exams fast approaching). A great achievement to date was covering the entire AQA GCSE Biology specification in two weeks! This student received an A grade which we were both thrilled about (they were predicted a C grade).
I am highly decorated tutor with 5* reviews on all tutoring websites. This is due to my dedicated teaching style. I will never 'clock -watch'. If my student has not understood a topic, I will stay over the '1 hour slot' for as long as it takes. I believe this is why students and parents find me a quality tutor; I do not see them as £ but more as individuals.
I now also offer medicine interview (1-to-1) preparation for any medical school you/your child is interested in. I am fortunate to know members of the interview panel and I am looking to be on the MMI interview panel for one of the stations at my medical school soon. Having received all offers from 4 universities, I know a thing or two about the application process. Contact me for prices on interview preparation- I travel across the UK for this service!
