About Halessa
H. Regis is a Teacher of English; holds a Master's Degree in English: Linguistic and Literary Studies by the Post-Graduate Programme in English and Corresponding Literature of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (PPGI/UFSC) focusing on Cultural and Literary Studies; holds a BA in English Language and Literature (DLLE/UFSC) with emphasis in Applied Linguistics and English as a Lingua Franca; and, she is Graduated in English Language and Literature (DLLE/UFSC) obtaining a license for teaching in elementary and secondary education. As a researcher, her interest lies in American and British Literature, writing of the Beat Generation women and marginal writing; encompasses cultural studies and feminist counterculture; as well as, involves linguistic inequalities, EFL, interculturality/culture, and teaching practices. She is Italian/Brazilian, she speaks and teaches Spanish and Portuguese to small groups/private classes. She has experience of 10 years teaching in public and private schools.
