About Graham
I have taught for many years and have had great success with many students. I pride myself on being able to strike up a rapport very quickly with all my tutees, who all find their grades quickly improving. As a writer and musician I can find interesting ways into language and literature that are never obvious or dull. I also have many resources on file that I can email students, as well as links to helpful sites; these help students improve at grammar and the essential skills fundamental to GCSE and A level. As a writer and former journalist, I also have many texts and examples to show students the best way to express themselves in their own letters, articles, speeches and descriptive writing.
Having taught abroad and in universities as well as schools, and speaking French and Japanese, I am an expert at both language and literature. I am also a senior examiner for A level and have marked GCSE and IGCSE papers for several boards, so know exactly how to prepare students for the respective exams.
I believe these skills, and my postgraduate degeree form Oxford university, make me an excellent choice if you are looking to enhance your love of the subject, your grasp of it and your performance in exams.
