About Giacomo

Giacomo Grasso: History tutor

Hello,

My name is Giacomo and I am a third year history student studying at Edinburgh University. I have a friendly personality mixed in with a very good work ethic. I have a real passion for history and confident I can engage even the most reluctant learner through my great communication skills. Having been taught at prestigious institutions and graduating Secondary school with 4 As, I have gained a great bank of knowledge coupled with excellent essay writing skills. Due to this I am in a comforable position where I can teach a great repertoire while also delivering it in an interesting and stimulating manor.

Being easy going and the eldest of five I find it very easy to engage with younger kids around the ages of 11-13. I have regularly helped my youngest brother with his homework and have even worked with kids in Ghana for a charity (Free the Children). I am well read and have a variety of interests which are perfect for getting to know someone. I would love the opportunity to be your tutor and promise to help you in achieving your full potential.

Although I am primarily a history teacher I am also capable helping with overall homework and assistance for exam preparation if needed.

Giacomo Grasso

Written by Dr Eric S
I was Giacomo’s House Master for 4 of the 5 years he was at boarding school. Academically Giacomo was very able. For example he achieved 10 A*s and 2 As in his GCSEs and performed well in his A-levels.
In terms of his character he has a very pleasant personality and very good interpersonal skills. He is mature, considerate and thoughtful and gets on very well with people. He possesses considerable drive and motivation and is honest, conscientious, dependable and reliable. He also possesses initiative, patience and common sense. He is a good communicator, has an eye for detail and would be open and willing to learn and adapt. He is sensitive to people around him and possesses stamina and resilience. He presents very well too.
He had an excellent record at the school and was well liked by his peers and by those who taught him. He can be trusted with responsibility. Outside the classroom, Giacomo was a member of a number of school and House sporting teams (rugby, Harrow football and football just for starters). He comes highly recommended.

I am writing to provide a character reference for Giacomo Grasso as a tutor. I have known Giacomo for a couple of years and in that time, he has been a pleasure to be around. Giacomo is a bright, presentable, discreet and moral person whom I have had the honor to get to know.
Giacomo has a good rapport with my children and often helps them with their homework and makes time to do activities with them.

I have no doubt that he will be a an asset as a tutor for Tutorfair.

Regards,

John Frieda
