I studied Greek Philology in Greece with specialization in Linguistics and Language Teaching, as well as Piano Performance and Theory. After obtaining a tutoring experience in my hometown, teaching Ancient and Modern Greek Literature and Language, as well as, Piano, History, Philosophy and Latin, I came in London to pursue a Master Degree. I am communicative, friendly and hardworking.
'If you learn a new language, a small country is born in your head'
I am a proof-editor and a translator working with Greek (native), Russian (bilingual), English, and French, aiming to pursue a career in the Publishing Industry.
Since 2014 I have gained experience as an essayist, proof- reader, and reviewer for Greek literary journals. Through my recent collaboration with Asymptote, a journal dedicated to world and translated literature, I have further developed my skills in an international environment.
My specialization in Linguistics endowed me with a profound knowledge of language (both diachronically and synchronically); particularly, through the philological study of indecipherable manuscripts, I acquired a rigorous approach to detail, grammar mistakes, and any linguistic disruption.
During my postgraduate training, I have investigated contemporary approaches to globalization, digital cultures, language, that endowed me with a critical-analytical approach towards current affairs and social research.
