Engineering Student looking to pass on some enthusiasm
My name is George, I am originally from the West of England but now I am currently studying an Electrical & Electronic Engineering Degree at London South Bank University.
Post secondary school I commenced on an Advanced Electrical Apprenticeship working for my fathers company and I achieved a Distinction award. After this I worked as an Electrician for some time until I decided to go travelling to South East Asia and Australia, for 22 months in total.
I decided to come back to the UK to study for a Higher National Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. It was tough to come back from almost 2 years of being out of education to jumping back in the deep end but with some patience and determination I relished it. It was a proud day when I had completed the course having gained a wealth of experience and achieved a 91% average throughout.
Now I am undertaking a Bachelors degree and I am looking to pass on my mathematical experience to the younger generation. I found school very difficult and thought on many occasions that the method of teaching was suited to only a certain number of students and isolated many others. I have found with the right motivation and correct method of teaching, everyone has the potential to enjoy the experience of learning.
