I recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in Arabic and Persian (Farsi). I am comfortable teaching MSA (Modern Standard Arabic) from beginners’ to upper-intermediate level, as well as basic Levantine dialect, having spent the second year of my degree studying in Jordan and last summer working in Lebanon. I am also able to teach beginners’ Farsi.
Since achieving an D2 (A*) in Pre-U French (equivalent of A-Level), I have maintained my knowledge of the language by regularly reading French novels, through my time working in Lebanon (where I was required to translate between English, French and Arabic) and trips to France.
As well as some teaching experience, I have the useful background of having learnt these languages as a non-native speaker!
During my time in Oxford, I became proficient in processing scholarly material and producing high-calibre academic essays. Please enquire if you would like to see a sample of this kind of work.
