About Gao Jye
Hello, my name is Gao and I am a Malaysian Chinese currently in my final year of dental school at King's College London. I have been learning Malay back home in Malaysia from the age of 7-17, love Maths and am currently still doing a course that is very Biology heavy. Besides having an interest in these subjects I have also excelled in the examinations related:
Malay: A* SPM (Malaysian local exam - age 17)
Maths: A* (A-levels - A2)
Biology: A* (A-levels - A2)
I have experience in teaching and caring for adults, children and also those with special needs.
Regardless of learning a language or a science I believe you would need 2 things in order to excel: i) a complete understanding of a concept ii) practice,
and that is why there is no escape from homework =)
I was born and raised in Malaysia until I came down to London for dental school. I am thus able to speak conversational Malay and have also sat for all the Malaysian Malay language examinations. I took edexcel Biology and Maths for my A levels so I am familiar with the whole examination process and the stress involved!
I was chosen my my tutors to teach my fellow college mates Biology and I am proud to say that I managed to improve his grade from a C prediction to an A.
I am patient and friendly and I want to be involved in the process of helping you achieve what you want in regards to these subjects and also in terms of UCAS applications especially for medical/science subjects. Even currently on clinics with patients I am described as outgoing, friendly and thorough with my treatment. I am a very active person, being an ex state level tennis player and I love my guitar and singing too!
