About Fiona
I am a qualified English teacher who previously led the Key Stage 3 curriculum in a North London school. I am passionate about my subject and believe in providing each tutee with an individualised programme of work designed to draw out his/her full potential.
I have graded GCSE papers for one of the main examinations boards, and have experience teaching GCSE and A Level specifications for AQA,OCR and EdExcel.
I offer support through Key Stage 3, as well as working with GCSE students and those studying at AS/A level in English Literature.
In addition to tutoring at secondary level, I have led seminars as an associate lecturer at a London university for the last four years, teaching across all three undergraduate years. I am willing to discuss tutoring undergraduate students where my expertise is relevant to the modules being studied. I also work part-time in a London-based college, leading the Literature unit on an Access Diploma for adult learners

Perfect! Excellent tutor
Fiona has been helping my son with English language and literature GCSE. As a practicing English teacher she has up-to-date curriculum knowledge and an excellent grasp on how to help my son understand what is asked of him. She kind, warm and calm and this has really helped my son to get the most out of the lessons. She has been incredibly helpful in the first few lessons really making a difference already.
