Experienced and enthusiastic language tutor from Italy

Hello!

My name is Federica, I am twenty-six years old, and I am from Italy. I am a creative, propositive and responsible Chinese literature PhD student who aims to become a professor. I love to share with my students all the interesting things I have learned during my academic career, and I always try my best to carefully plan my classes in order to let my students get the most out of them.

In the past years, I have worked as a tutor and a language teacher for different organizations, such as private schools, language schools, and my own university. Throughout my several working experiences, I have dealt with both young students and adult ones, acquiring a good ability to understand promptly different students' needs.

I have worked as a native language teacher in Italian, and in some occasions as an English and Chinese private tutor. In addition, having received university education in Chinese, English and Italian literature, I have also solid basis to teach the literature of the languages I have specialized in. Furthermore, I am currently working as a tutor/advisor in my university, helping MA students with their dissertations, offering them advices and guidance throughout the writing process.

During my working experience, I have acquired strong teaching methodologies that I can use to help students overcoming difficulties encountered while learning a foreign language; to effectively engage them with the subject; and to support and guide them while writing their own papers. All these aspects have strenghtened my teaching skills, while helping me building my own teaching methodologies and style.

I am really committed to and passionate about teaching, and I can guarantee that I will always try my best to make my classes a gratifying and useful experience.

Apart from my passion for teaching, I love travelling, learning foreign languages, playing the guitar and reading. I have lived in the UK for more than two years, while taking a nine-months break from September 2016 to June 2017 in order to live and spend some time in China (Hangzhou). I love doing sport, and I have a great passion for badminton and volleyball.

A very good tutor

Federica has successfully tutored one of my students in 2013. With her deep knowledge of Chinese language and advanced teaching techniques she provided the student with a good study plan which helped him pass the exam he had previously failed.

To Whom It May Concern:
I have known Federica Gamberini for more than six months as one of our Italian language and culture teachers at Basilico – Italian language and culture centre (Hangzhou). She worked for our school from January 2017 to June 2017, for a total amount of 700 hours, as a private Italian tutor for classes of one or two students, occasionally teaching to larger groups of 6/10 students when required. As her manager and director of Basilico, I appreciated Federica’s commitment to teaching Italian language and culture to Chinese students, and to support them in their learning process.
Over the six months she worked for us, Federica performed all assigned tasks and duties with punctuality and professionality, always arriving at work on time and properly dressed. She showed good ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with other teachers and communicating important information effectively.
Furthermore, Federica demonstrated great adaptability by teaching classes of different levels (A1, A2, B1), and by helping students with the preparation of Italian language certificates (mainly PLIDA A2).
While performing her duties and tasks, Federica always worked with great enthusiasm and with a positive attitude. This has enabled her to establish a great relationship with both her colleagues and her students. All these aspects made Federica one of our most valuable teachers.
I have worked with Federica as her manager, and I got the chance to observe closely her work. Any school or organization dedicated to the teaching of Italian and any other foreign language and culture will appreciate Federica’s hard work and dedication to teaching, and her attention to students’ learning experience.
I wish Federica the very best in her future career. If I can be of any further assistance in supporting her application, please feel free to contact me at any time.
