I have recently taken a position as research associate in naval architecture (engineering for ships) at University College London. As a result, I deal with students on a weekly basis by supervising their projects and teaching two modules. Additionally, over the past two years, I have taught and tutored mechanical engineering students at the University of Edinburgh, where I have completed my doctorate in the control of wave energy converters.
Currently, I am looking for part-time tutoring opportunities in mathematics and physics. I have a proactive teaching style. I feel that students really understand the subject by applying their knowledge to practical examples and case studies, and will be there to help them get to the correct solution.
I am happy to help students regardless of their background or educational level and will endeavour to tailor lessons to your individual needs not only from subject understanding but also in a fashion to suit your way of learning and to hit your personal target(s) - whether it be passing a particular exam, a piece of coursework or even to moving into an engineering career.
Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I hope to speak to you soon.
