My name is Donatella and I am a fully qualified Foreign Language Teacher. I hold a Degree in French and Russian with over 30 years of experience in teaching in a variety of contexts. (CRB checked).
I'm originally from Sardinia but I moved to England 13 years ago.
I am very dedicated to my work, I love teaching and my method is based on active learning experience. I believe that the best way to learn is to enjoy that's why each course or session will be tailored to your individual needs and interests. Whether you are a Beginner or Advanced student or you are simply planning an holiday to Italy, I will focus my sessions on what is important for you. I'm very flexible so, for instance, if you would like to learn more about italian art or music I will help you to reach your goals choosing the appropriate teaching material. I will be sending to you, lesson by lesson, all the documents you need and during our session we will discuss it and we will examine everything in depth (like contents, grammar etc.) You will have some homework to do (reading, or translating or doing some exercises for learning or fixing grammar usage) but we will do most during our lesson.
Usually I do 1 hour per session but if the student prefers a longer session I don't have any problem to adjust these times.
I studied Italian in one-to-one classes with Dona, and found her an intuitive, caring and brilliantly encouraging tutor. She tailored classes to my ability, just giving me the extra challenge I need to feel I was really making improvements.
I gained some very useful colloquial and contemporary Italian vocabulary, and my confidence with the language improved enormously.

I received excellent tuition in Italian from Donatella in 2014/15. She tailored the lessons to my specific needs and used multiple resources, including Skype to give additional support. She is friendly, and approachable and extremely experienced teaching both young children and adults. I highly recommend her.
