I graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2010 with a 2:1 degree in English. With this qualification I moved to South Korea and was an English language teacher for two years. I returned to London and have undertaken further study and turned my experience and drive for teaching English as a foreign language and as an academic subject into a sustainable career by providing private lessons for the last three years.
As a person and a tutor I am personable and empathetic. This is important as it allows me to understand the weaknesses and strengths of my students, while also keeping my students engaged and interested. A happy student is one that is willing to work, so I like my students to enjoy themselves. Correction with encouragement is my preferred teaching style.
As a tutor I am student specific. No two students are the same. Each student has his or her individual struggles and it is my job to assess these and how to overcome them.
