About Declan
Bonjour!
I have just moved back to Scotland after 4 and a half years living and working in Paris. I taught in an engineering university for a year as an English teacher. I also taught in a primary school, working with kids aged 4-10 years old.
I successfully completed a French degree at the University of London Institute of Paris after finishing my first year at Strathclyde University in Glasgow.
I decided to move back to Scotland in order to spend more time with my family and also to give me an insight into the world of teaching in Scotland, having only taught in France.
I have a passion for teaching and a passion for language. Many people think that French is a hard language to learn. I feel that is only as hard as you make it and I'm sure that if you work with me, your French will improve very quickly.
