Super English Teacher with lots of experience of 11+ Exams.

I have many years of teaching experience especially with students preparing for school entrance exams. My students sit the 7+, 8+ and 11+ entrance exams for many of the best London schools. My teaching style and approach is a traditional one of assessing the student's skills and knowledge before drawing up a list of topics that each student needs to revise before we complete past exam papers for their chosen schools. Many of my students need help with Key Stages 2-3 in Mathematics and English. Recently, I have been working with students on their story writing and comprehension skills, which need to be perfected for the 7+ and 8+ entrance exams for Westminster Under School, Colet Court School and Wetherby Pre-School. My students need to practice fractions, decimals and percentages to be able to complete on time their 11+ Mathematics entrance exam papers for Queens Gate School, Francis Holland School and Godolphin and Latymer School. As well as teaching students for these entrance exams I have also taught ISEB exam and scholarship students for Heathfield School, Tudor Hall School, St Mary Caine School and Benenden School.

I would highly recommend Deborah as a tutor. Over the December 2013 break she came to tutor our son Julian on 4 different occasions for 2 and a half hours each time. Her focus was on teaching him Creative Writing as this was his weakness. He took his 8+ exams in January and we were pleased to find that he was offered a place at Westminster Under School.

Deborah was efficient and clear with Julian. In just a few lessons I feel she really strengthened his writing and gave him tools to help him organize his stories in a way which was simpler than how he had been taught at school. She easily managed to get him focused on the work to be done. We are very grateful she was sent to us by Holland Park Tuition and would highly recommend her to any parent looking for an 8+ tutor.
