Education has the power to transform the lives of young people; education transformed my life; I chose teaching to have the opportunity to have the same impact on young peoples’ lives. I am passionate about maths and physics and how they illuminate the world around us. I want to share my passion for Maths and Physics with young people.
My education philosophy is very learner focused, individualised for each learner so that each pupil is challenged and can achieve to their full potential. I endeavour to create a positive environment and ask deep questions so pupils can learn for themselves.
I gained grade ‘A’ in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, History and English Literature A Levels. I then read physics at Durham University and graduated with upper second class honours. I am qualified teacher, having completed a PGDE in Physics withs Maths at Sheffield University. I also have experience teaching physics in County Durham and Sheffield and teaching English in Vietnam. I am now teaching in secondary schools across south London as well as tutoring.
Outside of academia I am passionate about sports and outdoor activities. I regularly play tennis and squash and I am a keen supporter of Aston Villa football club. I also enjoy travel and photography and love to visit new places.
I look forward to hearing from you and seeing how I can make a positive impact.
