About David
I am a teacher of performing arts and a professional performer myself, having graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with a First Class Degree in Acting.
- I have many years of experience in both piano and singing.
- In my professional training I studied various singing models to better understand the voice.
- I am happy to work with students at all levels, having myself achieved Grade 8 piano and A Level music and completing professional training in performing arts.
- I am experienced in teaching performing arts, with an added focus on social skills and confidence-building for children.

I deliver a learning experience that keeps students interested in their instrument (piano and/or singing) whilst developing a passion for playing, understanding and creating music in a way they enjoy!
I am passionate about teaching young people in a low-pressure, fun and rewarding way! I teach both piano and singing/vocal coaching, with an option to combine both disciplines. Commanding their own musical journey, I steer pupils as they take an active approach to discovering the music they love to learn across styles such as classical, jazz, pop, musical theatre and more.

FIRST LESSONS
During our first lesson, we will spend some time assessing what level the pupil is at - this includes for total beginners! For singers, we will test vocal range and have a go singing something so that we can assess which areas we would like to work on. For piano, we will look at posture and have the chance to play something. Beginners will be introduced to the instrument. Please bring any material/music that pupils would like to demonstrate - but don't worry if you haven't got anything yet!
