About David
Beyond a solid academic record, I am passionate about Maths. From organising and running my school's Maths Society to writing programs for solving Maths problems to attending lectures and masterclasses on further areas, I have always loved the challenge of Maths and the sense of accomplishment it can bring.
Now this passion extends also to teaching. Whether it's a classroom full of students or if it's just one on one, I love discussing Maths and especially love seeing the confidence someone gets when they finally understand a idea they've been struggling with.
And that's the kind of attitude I bring to my lessons; I focus on presenting challenging ideas in a calm environment, helping you every step of the way. I don't believe in teaching answers, I focus on helping you understand the "whys" of Maths: why do we use this formula? Where does this idea come from? It's that kind of understanding that gets the best grades. In that sense I believe in setting a pace tailored to the individual so they are always learning.
