I have had many years of teaching privately English as a foreign language and Italian in particular. I enjoy preparing my lessons and teach focusing on the various levels that will enable the students to progress comfortably feeling supported. I am reliable, I like communicating clearly, have patience & collaborate with the student, I make learning relevant to students' interests so that they care about what they are learning. I find as a tutor I make learning appropriately rigorous -- challenging enough, but not so tough that student(s) gets frustrated and stop trying. I show visible growth in my students' progress. It is also very important to leverage the tutoring around the students so progress can be done according to their skills and capacities. Check, measure and develop opportunities are also a very good way for me to assess potentials for my own student to see how far they can go and set realistic targets for achievements. In my personal style I make sure I deliver interesting and interactive tutor sessions using creativity and imagination too. In my experience, if tutoring is effective, the student will be happy, efficient, involved, working and performing well, focused and will feel learning is easier as a result.
