I've just finished my first year studying Mathematics at the University of Oxford. I've done 5 A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Further Maths (additional), Physics and History.
From the time of my first exposure to Maths, Maths has been something that I simply have to do. Since year 7 I took it upon myself to learn Maths separate from the rest of the class because lessons in class were frustratingly slow. This means that before I got to university I hadn't had a maths lesson since year 7. Being almost entirely self-taught provides me with the advantage that when I studied maths before university I was my own tutor. I therefore have a great understanding of what it takes to improve as a mathematician, and as a physicist which is a crucial skill to have for someone who now tutors these subjects at A-level and GCSE.
I took all 18 A-level modules
With an A* in A-level Maths achieved at age 16 (2 years early) and an A* in Further Maths achieved at age 17 (1 year early)
I also have a high A* in A-level Physics with over 90% in every exam.
I scored in the top half of successful applicants to Oxford in the MAT (Maths Admissions Test).
I'm currently a tutor for a program run at Oxford University called "Problem Solving Matters" which prepares prospective Oxford students for the MAT.
I'd love to help as many people as I can so please message me with any query.
